Core Beliefs of the Church of God (Anderson, IN):

• The Bible: The Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God and the final authority for faith and life.

• Jesus Christ: Jesus is both fully divine and human, born of a virgin, died for the sins of humanity, was raised bodily, and is currently the head of the church.

• God & The Trinity: One God exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

• Salvation: All have sinned, and salvation is found only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, not by creedal conformity.

• Holiness & Spirit: The Holy Spirit indwells believers to empower them to live a holy, sanctified life.

• The Church: A unified community of believers, rather than a rigid denomination, meant to exist in peace and holiness.

• Ordinances: Generally practice water baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper.

• Second Coming: Jesus will personally return for his church, accompanied by a final judgment.
